Base Coats & Top Coats

The coats at either end of a manicure decide how it wears. The base coat controls adhesion; the top coat controls gloss, scratch resistance and how long that gloss survives washing up.

Base coats

Apply a thin base and cap the free edge. A base coat is meant to be a bonding layer, not a build layer, and flooding the cuticle here is the usual reason a set lifts at the sidewalls within a week.

Top coats

Our no-wipe top coats cure without a tacky inhibition layer, so there is no residue to remove and no risk of dulling the finish with a dirty wipe. The Glass Top Coat gives the highest shine in the range; the matte finish cures to a soft, even flat with no streaking.

All of them are soak-off. Buff the top layer before removal to break the seal, or the acetone cannot get through.
